Job summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Center OFCI Equipment Manager to join our growing team. This role will support the Owner of the project by managing all Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed equipment vendors. This role will report directly to the Owner QCx Director for regular project updates and issue resolution. This role will support multiple projects within a program portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Owner Furnished equipment vendors on behalf of the project Owner. 

  • Drive submittal review with the equipment vendors to ensure the site team is able to get the applicable information in the proper time to support installation, startup and testing. 

  • Manage equipment delivery dates and coordinate equipment delivery with the installing contractors. 

  • Support the Owner by providing metrics on delivery timeliness, quality metrics and installation updates for equipment delivered to various data center projects. 

  • Engage the various project site team leads to ensure the proper site logistics is available for equipment to arrive onsite. 

  • Support the Owner design team by providing feedback and coordinate design reviews of the equipment basis of design to ensure smooth integration to the MEP systems and support systems of the project. 

  • Manage all equipment quality issues during the installation process. 

  • Coordinate site visits for equipment technicians to perform installation inspection verifications, equipment startup and functional testing. 

  • Provide trends to the Owner to support ongoing equipment procurement and lessons learned to improve equipment lifecycle with the building designs. 

  • Represent the Owner in good standing with the Contractor. Set the project up for success by leading and managing Owner/Contractor equipment planning meetings. 

  • Managing factory witness testing and closing out issues that are generated during the factory witness test outcomes. 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data center construction and/or commissioning

  • Strong understanding of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and control systems

  • Experience with MEP systems and Commissioning Management

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project)

  • Proficient in Google Workspace Suite (gDoc, gSheet, gSlides) 

  • Proficient in Cx softwares (ACC, CxPlanner, CxAlloy, Facility Grid, BuildingTest)

  • Valid driver's license

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with MEP equipment startup (Chillers, BMS, Switchgear, Generators, etc.)

  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) or power monitoring systems (PMS)

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, ACC/BIM, PlanGrid)

Location and work arrangement:

  • Remote - US, expected travel 25%

  • Travel will be required to sites based on equipment issues or factory witness test needs

Salary and benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience) with additional bonus based on performance
